Save Money On Your Cell Phone Plan

When it comes to Cell Phone plans, there are so many possible combinations (minutes, data, texting, etc.), and the offerings change almost daily.  It's almost like the big telecom companies are trying to confuse the consumer.....  Honestly, sometimes it's hard to know who's worse;  the Cable Company or the Cell Phone Service provider!
Except, of course, when they're the same company.

While we can now easily and comfortably cut the cable with Cable TV, the options for cutting the cable on costly cell phone plans, are pretty much non-existent.
So what can we do?  Well to start, we should try to make sure we don't pay more than we need to on a great cell phone plan.

You've probably heard stories of amazing Everything Unlimited cell phone plans for $35/month.  But have you actually been able to find one?   I know I've personally spent hours going from site to site, tediously trying to choose the best cell phone plan out of mostly terrible options.

The good news is, I've now put those days behind us.

The tool I want to show you today has been featured on Lifehacker, Gizmodo, Techradar, and others, but I still find most people have never even heard of it.
If you're getting a new cell phone, looking for a new plan, or just plain sick of over paying with your current plan, you really need to check out:  WhistleOut!

WhistleOut is a great web tool, designed specifically to help you quickly find the right cell phone plan for your specific needs, whatever they happen to be.

The first thing to do is choose your Country and Province/State, from the drop down boxes at the top of the page.  Next choose the 'Compare Cell Phone Plans' button, to navigate to the page where you will enter your preferences, so that the site will be able to give you a list of the best plans, custom tailored to your needs!
At the time of writing this article there are almost 400,000 US plans to choose from (and just under 50,000 in Canada) but Whistle Out's algorithms will filter out the junk, and leave you with the gems.

While this site is without a doubt the best tool I've come across to make sure you get the best cell phone plan for your money, there is still room for improvement.
For example, with many (if not all) of the plans you will still need to make sure you are within the service providers home network coverage area, in order to avoid costly roaming fees.  This will likely require a quick visit to the service providers website, to have a look at their coverage area map.

I think you'll agree, this is a powerful tool, and it's definitely worth a look.

Have you used this tool to save money on your cell phone plan?  Let us know in the comments!
